History of the Educational Institution Colombia!!!
Colombia School was founded on 20 January 1951 and in 1952 was officially appointed urban school girls Colombia, its first rector was the sister Juana de la Passion. Its first rector was Lilian Quintero Gomez and his first secretary was Dora Cadavid. In February 1967 the service was given to Colombia school built with funds from the Alliance for Progress with 4 classrooms and a lounge and patio were built later and I am 6 meeting rooms with a total of 11 classrooms that was during the mayoralty of Sainz José Ospina.



The institution was female and therefore the name of urban school children, and in 1991 the school was already mixed and named him Colombia integrated urban school, were gradually integrated into Girardota men because only men had a school named and give the Barons to cover the male study. In 1980 began the school until the ninth grade and then came the idea of reshaping the college and transfer students for the minor seminary that belonged to the Sisters of the presentation.
Currently the school has a good physical plant: Laboratory, Library, 2 rooms computing, Restaurant, Shop, Teacher Lounge, Tennis Hall, Rectory, Secretary, Coordination, 2 patios, 2 bathrooms, 22 classrooms, A child park, Green zone.
And soon will be built with support from City Hall 2 classrooms where today is the patio lounge.
The school has a shield which has three significant words, science, joy and respect, was created by Duvan Montoya.
The uniform was formerly a Yombe green and then blue-checked. After a while they change to a checkered cloth Yombe as now but it was a front cover on top and loading cross back, dark blue socks, black shoes and white short-sleeve shirt, uniform ed. physics was dark blue sweatshirt, white shirt and blue tennis.
The uniform was designed by several teachers were Mrs. Filia including Gomez, Dona Lucia Vasquez, Virginia madrigal, among others.
The uniform for both sexes is natural dark blue sweatshirt with logo, white shirt, white sneakers and white socks, the uniform is liked by all students.

Our school is well equipped and has two computer classrooms that we like a lot because all have internet access and good equipment to learn, has a station, a multi-sports board that we really like because we practice the sport, has an administrative staff , faculty and staff with good human qualities, plus a few colleagues I love you.
We, the students practice basketball, football and boleibol multisports plaque near the school.
